Get Your GedQ. I'm 16 and expecting my first! I'm due in August and going into grade 11 next fall. I want to bf my baby but I won't have time since I will be at school all day starting September! I talked with my mom about it and she mentioned relacktating (sp?) her own milk! So we keep my baby at home while I go to school. Can this work?? A. maybe... but it would be easier if you just pump your milk for the baby & your mom can feed it your milk while you're at school. i hope your school will let you stay home with the baby until it's at least 6 weeks though... have you discussed getting your lessons at home for the first few weeks? best of luck. my best friend had her first a week before her 16th birthday. she got a GED because she had to work full-time, as her parents threw her out... but she also went to college nights & is doing well. it's going to be hard, but if you have support it helps. Is it possible for you to go to some type of Adult Education program, instead of school, to get your diploma (or GED)? At least that way you won't be spending so much time away from your baby. I did my whole senior year in about 3 months at my local Adult. Ed.(could have done it quicker but morning sickness got in the way lol) Since you're not due for 7 months you have alot of time to do a program like that.
