Can I get a lawsuit against my employer for this?

Q. I'm about as new as they come to knowing any legalities about anything, but I feel my job has screwed me and many other people over. I want to know if I have a right to legal action on this. First off, in the newspaper, the ad for the job advertised $11.26 an hour. When I called in, they said it was $11.26 an hour just like the paper said, and asked if I wanted an interview (they said a little about the job which was misleading). After 2 interviews I found out it was a sales position going into homes and doing presentations. Still lots of misleading things. They said the appointments are set up by their marketing and analysis department, that they provide the appointments, that we make X amount of dollars on a sale and $1800 guarenteed if we do 52 presentations a month. With that in mind, I thought I had a great job lined up. Guarenteed no matter whether I sell or not, and they set up the appointments? Too good to be true. They sugar coated a lot. Then I signed the contract which said nothing about the hourly wage that was said originally, but because they promised everything already I felt confident enough to just sign the contract. Well, they don't guarentee the presentations...in fact, they lied about a lot of things. When I brought this up they said that they weren't violating anything, and to read the contract. But I feel taken because they led me to believe that the contract was exactly as they had said when training us. I wasn't able to meet my 52 presentations because of this last month, and therefore was not able to pay many of my bills, including rent. Then on the comission, they failed to tell us about certain things that happen that lower our commission rate, so on some sales I thought I was getting booko bucks, I was actually getting pennies in my pocket. This company makes about 1/3 of their profit off of new hires who they get in, then the new hires find out what really happens, then they quit. 4/5 people who make sales within the first few days of working quit in 2 weeks or less. So this company is constantly hiring, and making lots of money at the same time because they lead everyone into a false sense of security. The 1/3 of that profit is also off of the new hires own referrals as well, as we are supposed to do 6-10 practice shows before we can get the real assignments. So they make their money off of people we know, then 4/5 who made those sales quit very quickly. Why would so many quit if they're making sales? Well, there's a lot more to go into, but it finally got to today where I was extremely sick and called in. They told me I had to come to their mandatory meeting which is every day from 1-2 pm. So I got out of bed, dressed in dress pants and a white shirt because they never said I couldn't dress that way to the meetings, and came into the meeting. Then I was told to go home because of the way I was dressed. I feel their ethics are very low-rate, especially after today (I quit after that, even though I wanted to hold out until their bonus day of free stuff on Monday). With just this alone, is it possible I have a case?

A. Yes, it's possible. I can't be conclusive about it without seeing the contract and getting answers to a ton of questions, which I won't ask because I'm not in that field anyway. But I think an attorney in the business of employment litigation in your state, and in class action lawsuits, would be very interested. This could be a big payday for a class action lawyer if all of the answers fall into place. Therefore, the consultation with the attorney will be free. Go for it.
