Are Minnesota drivers much dumber than those in the other states?Q. One of Jesse's justifications for vetoing the stay-right-except- to-pass bill is that it would 'unnecessarily confuse drivers in the metropolitan area'. This despite the fact that the law works well in many other states not known for their intelligent residents, such as New Jersey. Apparently, he thinks that Minnesota drivers are much dumber than those in the other states. He apparently feels congestion makes it too confusing. But really it's not at all complicated. If the road is congested and you don't wish to keep up with the people in front of you, move right. If the road is not congested, and you don't wish to keep up with the people in front of you, move right. Why does Jesse think we're not smart enough to understand this? A. I have lived and driven in Massachussetts, Connecticut, New York, Tennessee, Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, Louisiana, Indiana, and Minnesota. BY FAR, the worst drivers I have EVER encountered were in Minnesota. They were idiotic, unsafe, blind, deaf, clueless, pig-headed, and immeasurably dangerous. It's good he vetoed the bill. You'd have even worse highway conditions if he had not.
