Are there any ASP.NET training courses that use C#, rather than VB ?

Are there any ASP.NET training courses that use C#, rather than VB ? I need to get started on .NET training. This includes ASP.NET. C# is the language I'd like to use in general, having had some Java experience in the past. I have no desire to learn VB.NET. Course 2310 http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/syllabi/2310Bfinal.asp looked like a suitable course for ASP.NET, but unfortunately that's VB.NET oriented. Are there any ASP.NET training courses that don't need VB experience ?why take a...

Medical transcription course ?

I am looking at medical transcription courses and noticed your note regarding HPI. The only home study course I've checked into is At-Home-Professions. How does they compare? or do you know? Also, how could I obtain information regarding HPI? Any suggestion or help would be appreciated. The best home study course I have found is through HPI (Health Professional Institutes). It is rather high, but is a great course. You will need to purchase a transcriber either for standard or ...

correspondence course information ?

How long does it take to receive information from schools offering correspondence courses??It varies. I received some information within days, some took a week or better. There is excellent information on the web. Visit http://www.mtdesk.com There is an area there with information and links to different courses. There's also great information on how to choose a course. I've learned a great deal by just reading here, and also lurking in the MT chats. I'm about 1/3 of the way thro...

Advice needed on Home-Study Electronic courses

I have been doing a lot of on-my-own reading about electronics and was wondering about the several home-study electronic schools you see advertised in magazines like 'Popular Electronics'... I have requested material from schools like CIE, NRI and the such. If anyone has any experiences, both Pro and Con, with these types of schools, you input is REALLY appreciated. Which do you think is the best or worst and why... Also, if anyone has encountered an audio tape cour...

EGA Group Correspondence Courses

It is official. My first GCC will be announced in the June 2002 NeedleArts magazine. It is not an "art" piece, but a basic beginner piece to solidly learn hand sewing (seaming and hemming) and beginner surface embroidery in anticipation of whitework. You may not like the project (a hanger or garment cover), but you will learn and can transfer the skills to just about anything your little heart desires. "Dainty Trifles" took a long time to put together, and I'm very proud of it....

Technical Degree Via Distance Learning ?

I am trying to find a distance learning program where I can achieve a bachelor's degree in computer science or something close. I have a two year Electrical Engineering Technology degree, a degree in mechanical drafting and I am a licensed Master Electrician. Plus, I estimate I have over 1200 hours of seminar and structured training instruction -- like SUN Solaris system administration. None of these achievements qualifies me for a bachelor's degree in computer science ...

ISO Distance Learning Programs In EE Based At Community Colleges ?

I have found, so far, exactly one college offering what I'm seeking, Sinclair Community College in Ohio -- but for various reasons, too detailed to go into here, their course is probably less than ideal for my needs. So, I'm searching for other community colleges offering the class that I'm seeking, distance learning style. Direct leads from people in the know -- students and engineers -- would be really helpful.it looks like you have been unable to meet your criteria through on...

Chadwick University in Alabama?

I am currently looking into distance learning through Chadwick. An aquaintaince of mine went from and Associates degree to an MBA. The part that seems interesting to me is that they do not require the humanities/ electives courses that the traditional school I last attended required. If any one has any experience on this school please respond. Thay are not regionally accredited, they are members of the USDLA (U.S. Distance Learning Association) Ever heard of it?Inciden...

Correspondence Course Home Study - Advice on home-study MT courses ?

I am seeking information on the various home-study courses available. Has anyone here gone through one? Is it realistic to think that they would prepare me to work from home immediately? Your thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.I just finished a home-study course with At-Home Professions. I thought it was pretty good. I completed it in 8 months, working very part-time hours. It helped that I had a medical terminology background. So far, I have not found work. The s...

Online or Distance Learning Tech Writing Courses ?

I am looking for online or distance learning technical writer courses. I'm not interested in getting a degree--just three or four accredited courses that cover the basics of tech writing. I don't have time to attend regular classes, so I'm looking for courses that are online/distance learning. Can anyone recommend any? I would like to take courses with a well-known or respected university, if possible. You could check this one out.. http://explore.berkeley.edu/UCExt...

Correspondence law school ?

I recently learned that it was possible to attend law school by correspondence. I'd appreciate any information on this, e.g., a list of schools (I do understand that the ABA does not approve or accredit any correspondence law schools); best schools; where you do research (WestLaw/Lexis?) and anything else that might help me. I would eventually want to practice in Wyoming, but am living elsewhere now. I have a B.A. in liberal arts and a paralegal occupational certificate. Law ...
